"Les Clochards" is the name that John Galliano used to talk about this couture collection. Welcoming the new millennium, Galliano presented a couture show inspired in homeless people, asylums, and, for the last 4 gowns, in the artist Egon Schiele.
The show is known for being one of the most controversial collections designed by Galliano, who received several death threats. Also, a group of homeless people tried to broke in the Dior Boutique, who had to be closed for 2 hours. The asylum centres criticized Galliano, and the couture clientele asked "Why would we waste $30,000 dollars to look like homeless?"
